A Trishul is a three-pointed metal staff or trident, an emblem of ancient and present Naths.
The three points are read as one who has gone beyond the three gunas and stands in union with the Cosmic Spirit. They are also read as the central channel of the body-mind with the solar and lunar channels beside it. Within the International Nath Order the trishul is that emblem, often at the dhuni. It is not a grade and not a weapon-page. A small drum may hang from it; that object is part of the same kit. This page names the staff.
