Imperator Magus Mundi is a title bestowed by Shri Gurudev Mahendranath upon the leader of the International Nath Order. The title first fell to Sri Kapilnath, appointed by Shri Gurudev Mahendranath in 1989. He continues in that position today.
The appointment is in The Ultimate Promulgation & Pronunciamento, dated Guru Purnima, 18 July 1989. IMM names the living head of this Order. It is not the guru-seat of the Adinath or Uttara Kaula sadhu lines, which ended with Mahendranath. It is not another word for Initiator. Chartered Naths and Devis give initiation.
